The EX-6500E FireWire 1394A (FireWire400) PCI card provides three external and one internal FireWire 1394A port. It is designed to expand four additional FireWire 1394A high-speed ports for PCs, workstations or servers via the PCI bus to connect FireWire 400 1394A devices.
- Supports up to 63 devices
- Compatible with IEEE 1394-1995, 1394a (rev. 1.1) and OHCI interface specification 1.0
- "Hot swapping" devices can be plugged in and unplugged without turning off the computer
- Can also be installed in addition to the FireWire ports from the motherboard
- Internal port is shared with the first external (P3) port
- Supports PC and MAC systems
- Supports 32-bit PCI bus and 64-bit PCI-X bus with 5V and 3.3V
