RS-485 Isolater/Repeater
The EX-47800IS isolator and amplifier can be used to optically isolate RS-485 devices from each other. The EX-47800IS can also be used as an amplifier to add more devices to an existing RS-485 system, which is limited to 32 devices by the RS-485 standard.
The EX-47800IS uses plug-in terminal blocks on both sides. It provides transmit data (TXD+/TXD-), receive data (RXD+/RXD-), protective ground (Prot. G) and signal ground (SG). All data lines, power and ground are isolated from one side to the other.
It supports a wide voltage input from +7V to +48V DC. EX-47800IS has 2 DIP switches to set the mode (half or full duplex) and terminator settings. It supports both 2-wire and 4-wire modes. The EX-47800IS is compatible with new and older RS-485 devices.
