The USB 2.0 to RS-232 cable with A-connector provides a serial RS-232 high performance UART 16C550 output. It supports the external voltage of +5V especially on pin 9 of the connector. It is designed to extend another serial output for PC, small workstation or server via the USB 1.1, 2.0 or 3.2 Gen 1 bus. Due to the easy installation there is no need to open the computer and the EX-1311-2-5V can be installed during operation. Two nuts are included, which can easily be replaced with the thumbscrews if the cable to be connected has screws.
