USB to 8S Serial RS-232 ports, metal case with screw lock cable (FTDI Chipset)
The EX-1338HMV USB to RS-232 converter in a metal housing, provides eight serial RS-232 high performance UART 16C550 outputs. It is designed to add eight more serial outputs to desktop computer or notebook in a rugged metal housing via USB 1.1 or 2.0 bus. Easy installation means there is no need to open the computer and the EX-1338HMV can be installed while the computer is running. The included EX-K1542V A male to B male cable can be attached to the EX-1338HMV with thumbscrews without the need for a screwdriver, making it impossible for the cable to come loose on its own. Optionally, the EX-1338HMV can be installed on a carrier rail in a 19" rack with the article EX-6099 (DIN-Rail-Kit).
